Keep the cylinder pointed away from yourself, others, and pets at all times.
Wear hand protection, as the cylinder will become very cold during gas release.
If you feel unwell at any point, stop immediately.
How to safely empty your cylinder

1. Attach the nozzle
Attach the nozzle to the top of the cylinder and screw it on firmly while keeping the cylinder pointed away from you.
⚠ WARNING: Always perform this step outdoors in a well-ventilated area. Keep the cylinder pointed away from yourself, others, and pets.

2. Release the gas
As you tighten the nozzle, gas will be released with an audible hissing sound. This indicates the cylinder is discharging.
⚠ WARNING: Some cylinders, such as N₂O, may become extremely cold during release. Protect your hands with gloves or a cloth to avoid skin contact and cold burns.

3. Ensure full discharge
When the hissing slows and stops, keep the nozzle attached for another 20 seconds to ensure all residual gas is released. At this stage, the cylinder’s pin should be recessed by approximately 12 mm, confirming it is empty.
⚠ WARNING: Keep the cylinder pointed away from you and others during this process.

4. Remove the nozzle
After confirming the cylinder is completely empty, carefully unscrew and remove the nozzle attachment.
⚠ WARNING: Do not attempt to reuse or reattach the nozzle until the cylinder is fully discharged.

5. Mark the cylinder
Use a permanent marker to clearly mark the neck of the empty cylinder. This helps identify it as safe for disposal.
⚠ Warning: Never leave an unmarked cylinder, as it may be mistaken for full.

6. Recycle and dispose of responsibly Take the marked empty cylinder to your local specialist recycling or hazardous waste disposal center.
⚠ WARNING: Do not place cylinders in standard household bins.
